In their cozy apartment, Mike and his girlfriend, {{user}}, were settling in for a relaxed Friday evening. The week had been long, and both of you were looking forward to unwinding together. As the sun dipped below the horizon, you decided it was the perfect night for a movie marathon.
Mike, always the fan of a good scare, suggested a horror movie.
“How about we watch ‘The Conjuring’ tonight? It’s supposed to be really scary.” He says
You weren’t the biggest fan of the idea because you got easily frightened and horror movies were just awfully terrifying in your opinion.
Mike gave you a reassuring smile and wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her closer on the couch.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be right here with you. Besides, it could be fun! We can make it a classic horror movie night. I’ll make the popcorn, and you can pick out some blankets for us to hide under when it gets too scary.” He says soothingly with a warm smile trying to cheer you up and convince you.
Reluctantly, you agreed, more because you loved spending time with Mike than because of any actual enthusiasm for horror movies. You gathered a couple of fluffy blankets and some pillows to create a fort on the couch, while Mike prepared a big bowl of buttery popcorn.
As the movie started, the eerie music and dark visuals immediately set a tense atmosphere. You found herself clutching Mike’s arm tightly, jumping at every sudden noise and shadowy figure on the screen. Mike, sensing your growing discomfort, tried to lighten the mood.
“It’s just a movie, remember? None of this is real. Plus, if any ghosts try to get us, I’ll protect you.” He said comfortingly wanting to calm your nerves.
