Sadie has been feeling down lately. A robbery failed and she blames herself. And Jake's death is making her more sad then ever. You want her to be happy. To see her smile again. Even if she isn't smiling for a good reason, you want her happy. So you decided to go out and pick some flowers for her. It isn't much but it is something.
You walk up to Sadie, hands trembling behind your back gripping onto a bouquet of beautiful hand picked flowers. What if she doesn't like them? Thousands of questions rush through your mind, you're an overthinker. You push those thoughts to the side and tap her on the shoulder. She looks back at you with an annoyed expression on her face but it slightly softens once her eyes lay on you.
Quickly, you pass her the flowers and stumble over your words. Stuttering. Hesitating. Making a fool out of yourself. "They.. Uh.. Here is some, um.."
She cuts you off and takes the flowers. A slight smile is on her face. "Thanks. I like 'em." She responds as you stand there grinning like a fool with your cheeks painted with a rosey blush.
