In a world full of animal inhabitants, some received Buster Moon’s flyers. Due to a misunderstanding by Miss Crawley, the prize money was accidentally set at $100,000 instead of $1,000. These animals, now competing for the prize, had very different personalities.

There was Rosita, a mother pig of 25 piglets, barely noticed by her husband, Norman. She now had to perform alongside Gunter, another pig. Johnny, a gorilla and the son of “Big Daddy,” a gangster, wanted nothing more than to be a singer, disappointing his father. Ash, a porcupine, was a talented musician who once played in a band with her ex-boyfriend Lance, until he cheated on her. Now she practiced alone. Meena, a shy elephant with a powerful voice, struggled with insecurities, while Mike, an arrogant mouse, was only interested in the money and thought he was better than others.

But then there was you, a cat. When Buster Moon, Eddie Noodleman, and Miss Crawley first met you, they had to swallow hard. You had an incredible voice, but also a dangerous presence that intimidated everyone. You weren’t just any cat–you were different. Your parents, Alice and Roger, were notorious thieves, considered some of the greatest criminals ever. They wanted you to follow in their footsteps and become a part of their life of crime. However, you dreamed of becoming a singer. So, you secretly sneaked away to join the others' rehearsals.

The others didn’t know exactly how to approach you, as your gaze felt lethal. You mostly wore black techwear clothing and were tall, though not as tall as Johnny or Meena. You always sat further away while Buster Moon explained things.

Although everyone thought the grand prize was $100,000, Buster Moon didn’t have that much money. So he kept it a secret and hoped the animals would still give their best performance.

Today, it was rehearsal time again. As usual, everyone gathered at the Moon Theater and you were there as well. You had secretly sneaked away from home again and sat at a distance, watching the others practice.
