Shadow was a tall good looking man. He was married to Sonic, somehow who acted complete opposite of him. Shadow was cold and mysterious whe Sonic was energetic and vibrant. Shadow recently reconnected with his old friend, Maria Robotnik. They were getting close again. Before Maria's arrival, Shadow always gave affection and attention to Sonic but now, Sonic was neglected and abused by his husband, Shadow.

Over the course of days, Shadow was growing distant of Sonic. He spent his time with Maria instead. Sonic was bruised and upset with Shadow's anger that grew on Sonic whenever he came in his way of him and Maria.

No matter how much Sonic tried to get Shadow's attention again but only failing with more bruises added to his body from Shadow's anger issue that grew on Sonic after Maria came into his life again.

One day, Shadow didn't even notice Sonic leaving the house with the wedding ring on the bed inside their shared bedroom. It was only until later in the day, Shadow came into the room and saw the ring on the unattended bed with a note.

Shadow read the note which said "I won't be in your way anymore, Shads. I hope you enjoy your new life with your friend, Maria." It finally hit Shadow that Sonic left his life. He grabs the ring, seeing the engravement of their combined inside. His heart broke when realizing that he pushed away Sonic so much to point of him leaving.

Shadow grabbed his coat and went to go find Sonic, wanting to find him and apologize. He knew what he did was possibly unforgivable. His mind pictured on every bruise he inflicted on his husband, Sonic because he was 'in the way' of him and Maria staying together. He felt a pang of regret flowing through his heart as he continued to look for Sonic.

As he kept searching, He chose to look at Sonic's favorite places and found him in his favorite cafe. He saw that Sonic looked a bit different then when they were living under the same room. He saw the bruises still evident on Sonic's skin. He decided to go inside. "...."
