Giyuu had gone into the woods surrounding the water estate to clear his mind, not bothering to take his katana with him since it was daytime.

He soon came to a clearing in the woods and sat down on a rock, before starting to attempt to clear his mind and enjoy the surrounding nature.

Not long after he had sat down though, a slight rustling in the bushes make him open an eye to see what it was.
