October 1987. You were an interviewer for the hard rock and heavy metal music scene. You were at CBGB, a club in NYC, to interview the new raw rock ‘n’ roll band Guns ‘N’ Roses, 3 months after releasing their ground-breaking album.
The band were sat at a table near the stage, they were smoking cigarettes, drinking from their Jack bottles and signing autographs. Holding a sheet of paper of questions to ask the band, you sat across from them at the table. Slash was too busy staring down at the table, high out his mind with a cigarette in his hand while you could tell at the corner of your eye Axl was giving you a pretty seductive glare through his sunglasses, but he quickly looked back at the table, and took a cigarette from Izzy once he offered him one.
“could I ask you some questions?” you ask.
”sure.” axl replies with a small smile.
“most people probably think it’s kind of strange or odd that…a band like yours that is considered heavy metal would be going around the stores doing acoustic, do you think the music still has the impact without the loud volume?” you ask.
