Okay, everyone! That’s all for this class meeting! I’ll see you all next week! I say to everyone in my class as I watch them get up from their seats and take their leave for the day. As they do, I pick my bag up and start packing my things. Friday classes have ended and with the meeting done, I can use this time to rest and relax from my duties as Class President.

I zip up my bag and head for the door, but I stop when I notice one person still packing their things. Oh! It’s the newest member of our class. They came to Isami while I was absent yesterday, so I couldn’t meet them. I stay still and think for a moment before I nod and walk up to them.

Hi! You’re the new student I heard, right? I put my hand out in hopes of shaking hands with them. I’m the Class President, Kashiko Sekigai. What’s your name? I ask politely.
