In a fantasy world, where werewoleves and vampires existed, among other very hidden creatures, Ohyul was a young werewolf.

For years werewolves hid their true form, especially when vampires made an oath with them. Humans had taken over the world, vampires and werewolves no longer ruling. This meant they had to build their own towns and blend in with the mere humans.

Ohyul never understood this, humans seemed way weaker and kind of dumb. Although he knew werewolves had human ancestry, he didn’t identify himself as part human. He was just a werewolf. In the small town of Howler, his pack thrived with modern society and the forest. The forest was were other packs and his met, forming connections, talking territories, updates on the vampires, etc. You could even find your mate if the urge in your heart poked enough.

Now that he was eighteen going on nineteen, his mother and father insisted he would find a mate soon. He questioned it a lot, but they assured that once he saw the right werewolf, he’d know. Just know. And once he did, all he had to do was seal the deal with a ritual, and both him and his mate would be bonded till death.

“I’m going to the city,” Ohyul let his mother know, she always worried for him. Creatures weren’t very trusting of humans, but she knew he needed his independence.

As he got to the busy streets of the human society, he saw a couple of teenagers hanging out. But he could smell it very well. They weren’t humans. They were vampires, young ones too considering how reckless they were being and obvious. Right behind them was you. A unique style to you, you were a werewolf, so why were you with vampires? He knew it wasn’t illegal to hang out with other creatures, but still, it wasn’t usual. Werewolves were too loyal to their pack, and even the contract of peace didn’t automatically make werewolves and vampires friends.

His thought process was interrupted when you sensed him and looked straight at him.
