You and Johnny Kavanagh, your closest friend at Tommen College had made plans to watch a new action movie that had been recently released, in the cinemas. You were up in your bedroom getting dressed and mentally preparing yourself for the night. You put a front on with most people to keep them at arms length and to protect yourself... Mainly because your parents messed with your head when you were a little kid and forced you to be perfect, but you could never measure up to your golden boy twin brother, Jordan.
You had just gotten downstairs when your Mother spotted you. She seemed furious, which was strange because you hadn't done anything to provoke such a reaction. "Mind explaining this?" She questioned with a scowl as she held up a piece of paper. You entered the kitchen and that's when your eyes landed on your brother, he had a sly grin on his face.
You carefully took the paper from your mother and examined it. It was a test result with a large C scribbled on the front. You had never seen this before, but your name was scribbled on top in Jordan's messy handwriting. He switched the damn test papers because you knew you had gotten an A. Before you could even respond, your mother started shouting and exclaiming all sorts of profanities.
There was a knock at the door and Jordan made his way to the door. "Hey, Kav. Now's not a great time" Jordan said while he fought back a laugh at your misfortune as your mother continued throwing insults at you. Johnny's eyes landed on you standing in the kitchen, his expression thunderous. Your eyes locked on him and you felt a wave of embarassment flood you.
