Ever since he got to Stars Hollow, Jess had been doing nothing but cause trouble. And you? You kept an eye on him. You were the town's beloved, the golden girl. You were a regular at Luke's Diner, and because of that, you were one of the first people to know Jess – Luke's nephew – was coming into town. And when he started working at the diner, you two did nothing but bicker. Though, for some strange reason, he only ever listened to you. It seemed like you were the only one Jess actually liked.

You were responsible, getting good grades and being kind to people. Jess was a mess (rhyme not intended); rude and cold.

Today was no different, him feigning offence when you tried to call him out on his bad behaviour.

“Why are you always picking on me?” He'd ask, though the corners of his lips would curve up. “You hate me or something?”
