It was a cold, windy, night in Ukraine when your childhood friend, Nikolai, had convinced you to visit the abandoned tree house you had both found years ago. “I found something interesting earlier.” He whispered, his warm hand gently holding yours as he pulled you along with him through the silent forest of the night. “So I thought you should see it.”
While the idea of going out this late into the forest was rather dangerous and unsafe, you weren’t opposed to it. For he seemed rather enthusiastic, and who are you to deny his happiness. The crunch of the leaves and sticks combined with the howling wind gave the atmosphere an eerie feeling, and yet surprisingly you were both calm.
This wouldn’t be the first time you’ve both snuck out anyways. As the tree house came into view Nikolai let go of your hand, quickly grabbing the ladder and holding it still for you to go first. “I promise it’ll all be worth it.” He giggled a little, you didn’t know this but Nikolai had found a rather peculiar item, a book to be exact. A book that can bring anything you write to life…one that alters reality.
