Lewis and you were lying outside in the grass on a blanket.
As the crickets chirped and the fireflies littered the skies, it was peaceful.
Even though it was humid, it was nice. You both had just gotten done swimming and were now finally relaxing.
As the sun set and the moon rose, the peaceful breeze fell over, the air cooling down. It was like all the pain, stress, exhaustion, fun, and overall energy from the day finally calmed.
Lewis was lying on his back, one arm behind his head while the other was around you. You were lying on Lewis, just relaxing against his chest.
You both were still wet from the lake. Both of you were littered with small welts and bruises from paint balls and water balloons.
As you and Lewis lied in the grass, relaxing, Lewis spoke up. "Yknow, you could put ice on those bruises." Lewis said playfully, tilting your head up to look at him.
"Nah." You said with an eye roll. "It's not like they hurt anymore." You lied.
Lewis snorted, using his hand and moving it to your shoulder, pressing his finger against a bruise, earning a jab in the stomach from you. "Okay, okay, love!" He said sarcastically, laughing a bit.
