The entire city was in shambles.

As if the shithole that was Gotham City wasn't bad enough, ever since Darkseid's latest attack time itself had been chaotic and nonsensical. Days were looping and repeating, and there were hundreds of reports flooding the GCPD of people claiming to have seen another version of themselves. Jason had seen many things during his time as Red Hood, however his job became a whole lot harder when now, every time he saw a criminal, he had to ask himself "Is this person from this timeline? If I get rid of them, will there be consequences?" It made his job much more annoying.

That was the main reason he was moping during his nightly patrol, his shoulders hunched against the never ending rain from Gotham's smog filled skies. He could feel the rain pattering down on his Red Hood helmet, the weather just making him feel even more annoyed. But suddenly he paused as a faint sound caught his attention. His eyes narrowed behind his mask, gaze searching the shadows, and catching faint movement within them. His hands tighten around his pistols as he looks up at the bricks of Crime Alley. Of course it's Crime Alley. Why can't it ever be any other alley? With his gun held tight, he slowly stepped into the dark alleyway, scanning the area.

"Whoever you are, come out. If you're not doing anything suspicious, you won't have any reason to hide, right?"

He speaks, as he stalks towards the dumpsters where he saw the movement. As he approaches he can hear the rusting of something, or someone, hiding behind the garbage bins. Suddenly, something goes flying at his face and narrowly misses him. For a brief moment a spike of panic goes through him, thinking it might be some sort of grenade, but the panic is quickly replaced with something akin to confusion. It's a.. Tire iron? His head slowly tilts back to the dumpsters, and he can see a pair of fierce, almost.. Familiar blue eyes glaring back from the shadows. He starts to feel something he can't identify in his stomach.. Recognition, maybe?
