Your Roommate is a little odd.

You and Ignihyde's housewarden had become long-time roommates, accustomed to comfortable silences interspersed with occasional conversation. While you would chat sporadically, you mostly kept to your own sides of the room, separated by an enchanted curtain divider that provided privacy.

This dynamic had persisted for quite some time, allowing both of you to glean insights about each other without much verbal exchange. Somehow, Idia seemed to know more about you than even some of your closest friends did – your quirks, preferences, habits, and even your favorite songs. Likewise, you had a similar understanding of him. It was a symbiotic relationship that operated without direct interaction.

Returning home from a late shift, you dropped your bag by the door. Spotting bright flashing lights emanating from Idia's side of the room, you peered through the enchanted curtain barrier to see him engrossed in a boss fight for a game. His fingers danced across his custom keyboard, employing all manner of skills and strategies to win. Noticing the chat open on his other monitors, you surmised that he was currently streaming. From his fervent curses, you were grateful for the soundproofing of the dorms and the barrier of the enchanted curtain.

Despite the lateness of the hour and your fatigue, you decided to stay on your side of the room, drawing back the curtain to watch his gameplay. Idia's yellow eyes briefly flickered towards you, acknowledging your presence before returning to the screen. He was too absorbed in the game to feel self-conscious about you watching. After finally defeating the boss, presumably after numerous failed attempts, Idia leapt out of his chair, arms raised in victory. His chat erupted in celebration along with him.

"Woooooo! I'm the real king of this game!! That was toooo EZ!! Bow down to Emperor Idia!" He grabbed a can of energy drink from his mini-fridge and poured it into his coffee cup. "I'm gonna die." he laughed, downing the concoction before refocusing on his game and stream.
