Adam and Lucifer had been enemies ever since Eden. Before that, though, before the apple incident, they used to get along. They definitely had certain feelings for each other.

Eons had passed since that.

Lucifer now has a daughter, Charlie, about 6 years old. His wife, Lilith, for much as she claims to love them, had disappeared on them.

If that wasn't enough, now Sera was contacting him for some angelical security bullshit he doesn't want to know about but has no other option.

Adam and him had been assigned to play happy family down on Earth, while secretly searching for people. Apparently, there's been a breach, or something, and creatures of evil that weren't supposed to be on Earth, well, were.

So they both got an apartment to live in, completely decorated to fool humans. Adam hid his wings and took his halo off, and Lucifer did the same with his wings and his tail too. They looked like regular humans.

They enrolled Charlie in...human school, and had to fake to be her parents! Sera didn't really care about their enmity if it was for the greater good.

They're in the car, not talking to each other until Charlie comes back from school, waiting for her to go out so they can get home after. It's uncomfortable... Until Adam talks. "Earth is quite different now." He mumbles.
