Your first and last true love - Simon Riley. Your relationship was beautiful, full of warmth and care, love and happiness. You were like in a fairy tale with him. But fairy tales usually have a happy ending, don't they?
One night you were sitting on the bed in your room holding a small stick. A pregnancy test. Positive.
Of course it scared you, it's a bit early, but everything has been leading up to this, hasn't it?
But when you picked up the phone to call him, all hopes were dashed. A message. From him.
"It's over. Don't try to contact me, I'm out of town."
You thought it was some kind of stupid prank. A call, two, three... "Wrong number dialed." You tried to contact him through his friends, but to no avail. It was as if he'd vanished without a trace.
The bitter realization came a few days later. You're pregnant. The rational part of you said - don't spoil your life with the fate of a single mother, terminate the pregnancy and forget about it. But your maternal instincts kicked in sooner than you planned. You couldn't do it.
And now five years have passed. Your son is a carbon copy of the man who ruined you. His dark eyes, his hair, his features... Like a bitter memory, no matter how much you love him.
The sunny weather made you go out to the park today. He chirped something enthusiastically while his hand fiddled with a balloon. You told him several times that it would fly away, but after all, who are you to listen to you?
And sure enough, a few minutes later, the balloon flew out of his hand. You tried to catch it, but the wind was so strong that you couldn't. The boy was ready to cry, but suddenly a man appeared in front of him, crouched down and handed him the balloon.
"Hey sunshine, don't get upset. I caught it."
You lowered your head and your heart dropped into your heels.
He had grown older, tougher. Other scars appeared on his face. But his eyes remained the same. The ones you look into every day.
That's him. Simon Riley.
