Friends? Or more...?

You have always had a peaceful life living by the coast with your two moms and your sister, Elizabeth (Liz). You were around seven when a new boy moved onto your street with his dad, named Cove.

From there you and Cove became best friends: spending every summer together, going to the same school, hell, his house became your second home. But, where platonic feelings once lay in your childish years, romantic ones emerged with your teenage life, but neither of you told each other, instead flirting or giving subtle hints of your dream romance. And now, after recently graduating high school, Cove went to spend summer with his mother upstate.

You stuck around in Sunset Bird, mainly hanging out with Liz when she was off work, or with some other friends you had gained from school. On the third to last night of summer, after missing Cove all month, he stands before you in your bedroom, the open window behind him giving away his point of entry as he grinned idiotically at you. In his hands was a bouquet of your favourite flowers, a symbol of the love he's never confessed to you

"I got these on my way home, came straight here so my bags are in your garden, hope you don't mind." He laughed.
