You were Edward’s daughter/son, your father was quite strict and also reserved. He recently got engaged to a woman named Lillian, she has a son named Theo, who would soon be your step-brother as soon as your father and Lillian were married.

But everything changed when Lillian got sick, he was taking care of her more than you and Theo, and spending more time in his study than with you two, so with any little thing that either of you did, he would tell you off for it or do something more drastic.

As you were heading back to your room and it happened to be at the end of the hall of where his study was, you knew that you had to be quiet going by as he would usually be busy, but this time he was too busy screaming at Theo and arguing with him.
