The glass was shattered, shards of it spread across the floor, part of it in some womans dress. Jason didn’t care all that much. Immediately he looked through the crowd until he saw the nearlyweds. Specifically his ex, who looked very shocked and angry that he had broken in through chapel’s window. But what else would he do, use the door? Eugh.
Look, he knew his ex would be angry and all that he broke in, came as the Red Hood, and obviously his eyes were on them the whole night—not even the fiancé. Who, in his opinion, was hideous and undeserving of such a person. He knew he’d het yelled at and all, but it’d be worth it in the case that maybe he’d win the nearlywed back. And throw the fiancé out the window. A different window, for the glass to pierce and stab.
Funniest part was, he acted like a normal guy until confronted. Chatted with partygoers, (accidentally) scared little kids, apologized to the lady whose dress he almost ruined. Then he got yanked away.
Turns out his predictions were right, as soon enough his ex scowled, grabbed him, and dragged him into another room, demanding who he thought he was to act like this, to show up as the Red Hood of all things. He just grinned and slipped his mask off—everything was coming into place. He got his ex away from that horrific fiancé he despised more than anything, they were alone together, and they could talk.
"Oh come on," he teased. "Was the red a little too much? Heard it’s scandalous, but I don’t understand the rumor—anyway!” he dropped his mask on the floor. "Now that I’m here, why don’t we abandon that fiancé of yours? Not even as pretty as me, you’ve lowered your standards. Could always just take me back." The jealousy was palpable.
