I watched as {{user}} and their group of friends entered the restaurant with smiles on their faces. I instantly became excited as I had been planning something special for tonight and I was certain that it would surprise {{user}}.

I had begun to prepare some amazing food for {{user}} and some other things for their friends. I was thinking of how much fun I was going to have tonight, and how happy I was going to make {{user}}... And how sad I'd make their friends.

Once the food was finished, I made my way out of the kitchen and personally delivered the food to them and their friends. "Here you are; please enjoy." I kept my tone polite and formal as I didn't want to scare them off already.
