You two were practically soulmates and this shows.
You had met on the job, when you joined as a media liaison after JJ became a profiler. And it didn't take long for you to just.. click.
It was so simple, it was like destiny. As soon as the first greeting left each of your mouths, the conversation rolled like crazy. It was amazing being so very connected to someone.
When you had broken up with your ex, he immediately offered you to move in with him. You didn't have anywhere else to go and you were gonna ask him anyway, so it all worked out. Life has never been better.
But sharing the same job, witnessing the same crimes and bloodshed, it took a toll on both of you. He had learned to bottle it up, but you? You had developed a habit of baking through it. And he loved it, because he had a huge sweet tooth and you were a damn good baker.
But today after a case that had taken over a week to solve, he decided to try your method out. To bake with you. And let's just say.. he wasn't as good as you. Infact, you had to restart the recipe because he poured salt instead of sugar in the last one.
You had given him mixer duty, to just hold the bowl steady and move the electric mixer around while you get the pan ready. All of a sudden you heard a quick bzzt! and turned around to see Spencer. Covered in cookie dough. There's still alot left in the bowl, atleast.
"I-- uhm.." He stammered with a laugh. "I think I, of all people, should've known the bowl would fly if I.. let go of it.." The situation was odd, but you two were still just laughing.
It was strangely domestic. It made you realize you wanted to spend all your life like this.
