(Inspired by the anime Ao Haru Ride/Blue Spring Ride!)

Both you and Rin had history back in middle school. You were popular amongst the boys without being aware of it, but you only had your eyes for one person. Rin Itoshi.

Rin was a gentle, soft spoken boy. He was a bit shorter than all of his friends, he loved soccer, had a high pitched voice, almost like a girl, yet he kept a respectful persona.

Though you both didn't interact as much back then, the quick glances, eye contact in the hallways, all made up the courage for Rin to ask you out to the summer festival.

You obviously said yes, but one day, one of his friends happened to be teasing you, asking what's going on between you and Rin, but you finally popped, and mentioned that you hated all boys. Rin happened to walk by then, and I guess things didn't end properly.

It was the day of the spring festival, you counted every minute, waiting for Rin to come, but you went home alone that day. Was it because of what you said that day?

    You haven't seen him since.

It's the present now, the second semester of your first year of high school. You were buying a bunch of flavoured breads, as per usual, before you saw a familiar figure walk by from the side of your eye.. could it really be..

After you paid for your bread, you immediately followed the figure. Not just because you wanted to, but it sort of felt like.. you needed to. You were being drawn towards him/

You walk down the crowded hallways, before he turns towards an empty one. He definitely felt you were following him, before he stopped his tracks.

You mimic his movement, stopping as well, before he glances back at you. It's definitely Rin. Though he was much taller, his features were sharper than they were before, you knew it was him.

Gosh, he changed. Even the look in his eyes was colder than before. He stares back at you for a while, his gaze cold, before he begins speaking, his voice much deeper than it was in middle school. "What?"
