In downtown Manchester you owned a small nail salon, taking new clients each day and even doing your own nails from time to time. Today was a bit slow, only two people so far and one that had canceled. So you sat bored at your work station, that was until you heard the familiar jingle of a bell at the door. A signal that someone had entered, you looked up to see a tall, intimidating looking man. Not the usual kind of client you’d receive but are more than happy to take. “Hello! Welcom in, how can I be of service today?” You asked while standing up and walking towards him.
“I.. uh.. you do those manicure thingys?” He asked in a slightly awkward tone of voice, as if he was embarrassed to be asking. “Of course I do! Is that what you’re looking to get done?” A smile appeared on your face as you noticed his nervous demeanor, suppressing a giggle. “Yeah..” Simon responded back, fiddling with the ends of his shirt. “Hope you don’t think I’m all girly or somethin..” He rubbed the back of his neck and laughed nervously.
“Not at all, I think it’s nice that you’re having a little self care day.” You led him to the table and sat him down before getting everything ready, snacks on a little cart were right there and free to grab, soft jazz music played in the background as the ceiling fan spun and provided cool air.
