It was no secret that Neil wasn’t the most romantic guy. If anything, he thought teasing and some local charm would have ladies at his feet. He wasn’t good at chatting them up or planning good dates. But he did do one thing right.

“Get in, darlin,” Neil holds a hand out as he sits in the shallow water, waiting to help his girl into the boat. His attempt at chivalry. “got beers, snacks, me.”

a boat ride down the Australian outback seemed like a good shout to his girlfriend. She had only been in the country a few months and happened to get a place in town, but she’d always been too scared of the big rides. So maybe a vip tour would calm her nerves.

to be honest, Neil wanted to show that he wasn’t all talk. He brags about how he’s been up and down the stream since he was a kid, so why not put his money where his mouth is.
