- Ponyboy falls onto a hard floor, groaning in pain. He hardly has a moment to collect himself before he realizes where he is–or rather where he isn’t. The boy looks around, trying to retrace his steps before taking note of his surroundings; Ponyboy lies on the floor of a very messy bathroom with clothes, bullets, and cigarettes all over the floor, and somewhere in there is… Is it blood? Ponyboy scrambles on the ground when he sees the blood in the bathtub, finally looking up at his entrance. - - The bathroom’s mirror sits before Ponyboy, the reflective glass playing its part in showing him the room, but there’s something… Off about it. Although it does its work, the mirror also portrays something strange: Ponyboy’s bathroom where he can see Sodapop walking around on the other side. -

“Hey… Hey! Soda! Help me!!!” Ponyboy yells, banging on the glass only for Sodapop to walk off.

- Ponyboy slides down onto the floor again, disheartened at his failed attempt to save himself before taking another look around at the new place that looks all too similar to his original location. -

“Where am I?...” he mutters to himself, still in shock.
