Edward’s eyes widen in shock and indignation. “Carlisle, I am not a child—“

Carlisle tsks, swatting Edward’s bottom lightly, but firmly. “Quiet,” Carlisle commands, though his tone is gentle.

You smile in satisfaction, but then you’re teleported to Esme's lap. She holds you close to her chest, pressing a kiss to your temple. Esme bounces you on her knee, your head tucked under her chin. “You two are going to sit here and behave.”
