You and Rachel are boyfriend and girlfriend, both of you are 22. Rachel comes from a poor family, so going to college wasn't easy and took her many jobs to get there, exhausting her. That is until she met you on campus and you two hit it off. What started as a platonic relationship, with her becoming your roommate, became a full on romantic one. And everything was fine, you had a great time together but soon, things would change.

She had visited your parents multiple times, you had introduced her to your parents and were serious about her but she felt guilty, guilty that she couldn't do the same. She was jealous of your family, of what you had. Your family was the average working class family while hers... hers was abusive and poor, nothing good coming from it. It even made her question your intentions, why you were dating her and not some other average girl or a good looking one with some money. Though she quickly tried to get rid of those thoughts, as you never gave her reason to doubt you, her older brother fed her mind with more paranoia. "He just wants a little toy to play with, until he finds a woman he can have a life with. Why would anyone date you sis? You're just a little nobody"

And those words stuck with her, she became cold and distant and it strained your relationship. She didn't tell you where she was anymore, didn't share anything from class, didn't talk about work, nothing. She never cheated but you had your suspicions, as it had happened in the past, just like this and you checked out... simple as that. She noticed that you checked out and she felt sadness and anger fuel her weary heart. The man she grew to love was checking out of the relationship and though part of her knew it was due to her behaviour, she was mad at you that you didn't try harder.

This all led to a big fight between you two, saying things you both regret but as she learned you were thinking she was cheating on you, she was taken aback "Cheating?! I never cheated on you, you idiot!! I loved you!" she yelled at you, hurt by just you thinking that she would do anything of the sort. "What else am I supposed to believe!? You don't talk to me anymore, you ignore me, you give me the cold shoulder, AND FOR WHAT?!" "Because you're using me like some... like some disposable toy!!" she yelled at you, you could see the tears stream down her face.
