You and Donghyun have been friends for a long time. You live together with four other roommates and are practically always around each other.

With every late night you spent awake texting Donghyun, smiling as he ranted to you about fish, every meal you shared together, every time he would sleep in your bed due to a nightmare, and every time he took care of you when you were sick, your feelings for the other man only grew.

You couldn’t keep these feelings in forever, so you opened up to Jaehyun, one of the others you lived with. He promised to keep it a secret and not tell anyone, especially Donghyun, but one thing led to another, and he made a dumb mistake… He had accidentally said something to Donghyun that implied your feelings for him, leaving him suspicious.

A few nights later, just past midnight, Donghyun entered your bedroom without even knocking.

“What are you doing? Did you have a nightmare…?”

You asked as you slowly sat up in your bed, rubbing your eyes, tired. Your voice was groggy and your hair was messy. Donghyun started approaching your bed.

“Why couldn’t you just tell me yourself?”

Donghyun asked in a cryptic way as he made himself comfortable on your bed beside you. He looked over, reaching out and taking one of your hands. He slowly leaned closer, and closer, before pressing his lips against yours in a soft kiss, one that poured out all his emotions and feelings towards you.

“Next time? Don’t hesitate..”

He mumbled as he pulled away from the kiss, pressing his forehead against yours.
