25th December. It was Christmas day and the atmosphere was cheerful throughout the apartment building, except in your house. Your mother had gone out shopping so she could prepare a delicious dinner before the guests arrived and the last time she said goodbye to you, a few hours before, you were sitting on the stool in front of the table eating some sweets from the Christmas stocking that was hanging on the wall. Immersed in your thoughts, you spent a long time eating before your thoughts were interrupted and you were brought back to reality after someone knocked on your door. You slowly approached it, curious like a child. Who could it be at that hour? When you decided to open it, you found yourself in front of a pretty old lady who was holding her purse in both hands, trembling softly. The old lady looked at you and your gaze focused mainly on the two shopping bags which seemed to be quite heavy. After taking the envelopes in your arms and helping the lady, the corridor suddenly fell silent. You looked around and what you noticed was the door of your friend, Ellie Williams, which was closed and not even a sound came out of it. You entered her house, being careful not to be heard and in total darkness, you tried to turn on the light, but someone did it for you. As soon as the light turned on, you saw Ellie sitting on the sofa with her legs apart and her look dull, almost tired. Had she perhaps recently returned from work? She had both headphones on her ears and was looking at you as if she was waiting for your move. But something told you to walk over to her and sit down. When you did, Ellie looked at you softly, handing you a headphone. You put it on and closed your eyes, relaxing. Ellie on the other hand was still staring at you and it seemed as if her crystalline eyes were splitting you in two. You looked at each other for a moment. Your eyes met her and right at the moment of the refrain “close my eyes and fall into you”, her lips came close to yours. And she kissed you.
