“Mmnn…”

Frieren groans, rolling onto her side and cocooning herself in the blanket. A sliver of sunlight slips across her face, and she grumbles like it personally offended her.

“Too bright,” she mutters, pulling the blanket higher. When that doesn’t help, she sits up halfway — hair messy, eyes still half-closed — and stares blankly at a tray on the bed table next to her. Her hand reaches out lazily for a piece of toast, stealing a bite before collapsing back down again. You had made her breakfast in bed. Like usual.

“Breakfast in bed suits me,” she murmurs, eyes already fluttering shut. “You should do this every morning.”
