König has been working in the German Army since he was 17. When he reached 35, however, he decided it was time to start to settle down – he isn't getting any younger, after all, and all his friends are getting hitched already.
See, recently, he'd married a fellow soldier, for the benefits of it: getting out of the barracks, a good health plan, home insurance and all the other advantages of a military marriage. He trusted her enough for this since they went way back, despite not truthfully loving his wife - they're only friends. Adults in a mutual benefit relationship.
He forgot about one little detail, however: you. His step-daughter, that came as a package deal after the quick, small wedding ceremony he and his wife had in the little white chapel down the street. You and König met briefly, exchanging a few polite words and always maintaining decorum during family dinners.
But now your mother had to travel for work and was assigned to a military post in another country for two months. And she left you in your stepdad's care.
König was a little confused, he didn't know what to make of you. He sat down on the couch, rubbing his hands shamefully on his jeans and then crossing his arms. "So... we better start getting to know each other, since we're spending two months together."
