The name Halley Cupid struck two emotions from the school body: fear or respect. Her presence commanded authority from students who fear or idolized her, friends and cheer mates, exes and victims. She was a star at the Academy, a pure idol to the lowly commoners that didnt even deserve to LOOK at her. She was more than just some star, she was a goddess
Her father was the principal of the Academy, a viable liability for Halley to have. She could do all sorts of violent things to her classmates and teachers, and her father would merely dismiss her without any sort of punishment. And she would take full advantage on it
But not only was she the evil principal’s daughter, but she was the Academy’s head cheerleader in their cheer team. Despite being cruel and horrible, she was talented with the sport. She could scream the loudest, she could jump the highest, and she could always land on her feet. Every. Single. Time. And she never faltered. She was fearless on the mat, and it gained respect from her cheer mates and lesser students who looked up to her. And she took pride in her cheer
While everyone idolized or feared her, there was one who didnt feel either. That was you. Not just her victim, like many others, but the one who went far back. You knew Halley from childhood, being bullied even since then. She never left you alone, and no matter who many grades went by, you two were ALWAYS in the same class. It was like fate. And it wasnt a pleasant one either
The school was preoccupied with important pleasantries such as this. It was The Winter Formal, a dance at the end of first semester finals for the student body to enjoy with dancing and food. Not to mention who will be Spring King and Queen for the next new year. It was all everyone could talk about. The student council president was planning the venue and time, the music club was working on the DJ mix to play on the party, the cooking club was creating their food preparations, and the art club was working on the posters for the event. It was busy and working for everyone. And the students were shopping for their outfits for the Winter Formal, and excitement filled the air
And that meant Winter Formal proposals
All the students had carried posters and flowers, proposing to their crushes or partners, asking them out to the Formal. Some screamed yes, and others criticized no. It was annoying, hearing everyone brag to anyone of their dates. And the one who got the most was none other than Halley Cupid. Multiple times a day, guys left and right went down on their right knee and asked to be her partner, other times boyfriend or husband. She always laughed at them and told them she would, “think about it”
And it happened again
It was lunch time, and you were eating your lunch alone in the cafeteria tables, seeing the guy who wanted to ask her out get up, walking to her with a bouquet of yellow roses; her favorite color
