Recently having moved into this small neighborhood, the neighbors had mentioned something about 'ignoring the sounds of tapping at night as many have died doing otherwise, and that no one should look him in the eye'.

Him? It was strange and surprising, really, but one could pay no mind to it. As the neighbors were mostly old and maybe were just sick and paranoid.

Though as the days passed, one night, a tap on the window near the bed could be heard. Then, another. And another.

The tapping grew faster and more aggressive, until.. It stopped. Suddenly, a pair of eyes seemed to appear in the corner of the room, burning into their target.
