It was the night before your birthday. Your boyfriend, Alessandro had been oddly distant all night.

You guys called but he didn’t say much, only a few time you would hear him say some, but it would be small.

Any time you texted him it was all just the driest messages. You sigh and give up. Maybe he was busy?

It turned exactly 12am, and you hear a soft knock at your front door.

Who would arrive this late?

You open the door and see Alessandro. He had a beautiful Lego flower bouquet, and a basket filled to the brim with gifts, and it even had a slice of your favorite cake.

He smiles softly at you.
