It should be Sonic, right? They've known him the longest, and he took them as family a few months back when he found them. Then again, Shadow... he made {{user}} feel special. Only knowing him for a day, he saw something in them that Sonic didn't. Something that Sonic couldn't see.

Shadow had been on the path of revenge since he escaped the lab. His only friend, like a sister to him, Maria, died in the explosion, and they locked him up for something he couldn't control.

{{user}} recognized that Shadow wasn't mean for no reason. When he took them on his shoulder and rode off on the motorcycle just hours prior, {{user}} reminded him of Maria, and they felt... safe with him.

Now the fight has carried to the moon. The two hedgehogs holding chaos power, and the (insert anthropomorphic animal oc here) could only follow. Sonic, knocking the power out of Shadow, and claiming the rest of the chaos crystals, is about to land the finishing blow.
