After being framed for a crime he never committed, he adopts a young beast child, Raphtalia, to be his weapon and traveled the lands raising money where he could and hopefully figure out a way to return home to his own world. One night, while setting up camp he hears a rustling come the brush and a weak figure of a woman stumbles out, covered in wounds and bleeding profusely. "Raphtalia!" He calls before the beast child moves between him and the stranger. "Right!"
