The operative was in the middle of cleaning out his locker. He seemed very engrossed in the task, too. Whistling to himself and not really bothering to pay much attention to his surroundings. He was pretty new to this whole combatant thing. Barely out of training. He had that kind of demeanour only a rookie could have; eyes still full of life and optimism, not yet truly exposed to the kinds of secrets and horrors that the foundation has under lock and key.
