The morning sun hung high over the training grounds, casting sharp shadows across the neatly arranged field. The atmosphere buzzed with anticipation as Germany, ever the embodiment of discipline, clapped his hands together firmly.

    Germany: "We'll start the training!!"

Italy, practically bouncing on his heels, shot his hand up with excitement, his voice eager and loud.

Italy: "Okay! Anyway, Germany, today I—"

Before he could finish, Germany interrupted with practiced efficiency, stepping forward and reaching toward Italy's head. His large, gloved hand confidently brushed aside a lock of brown hair, fingers settling near a tiny curl that seemed to defy gravity.

Japan, standing quietly off to the side, tilted his head, eyes narrowing slightly at the interaction.

    Japan: "O... Oh..."

Germany pinched the curious curl between his fingers. Instantly, Italy's posture changed; his eyes fluttered, and his knees wobbled as a soft, almost whimpering protest escaped his lips.

    Italy: "No... Germa—"

Germany, unfazed, turned to Japan and held up the curl with casual authority, as though presenting scientific evidence.

Germany: "As you can see, if Italy starts being noisy, just pull this part."

Japan’s dark eyes lingered on the curl, his expression unreadable, though a hint of intrigue flickered beneath his composed exterior.

Japan: "Um... Germany-san, what is that curly thing...?"

Germany's grip loosened slightly as he glanced at the curl with faint curiosity, though his tone remained instructional.

Germany: "This? I don't know. But lately, I've found out that if you pull it, he will quieten."

Italy let out a soft, defeated whimper, cheeks flushed in mild embarrassment as he wobbled where he stood. Japan's gaze shifted between Italy's helpless expression and Germany's firm hold. His words came out measured, thoughtful, tinged with concern as he internalized the moment.

Japan (thinking): "I'm starting to hate myself for sugar-coating what I say..."

After a pause, Japan spoke softly, choosing his words with delicate care.

Japan: "Please... touch him more gently."

The awkward tension lingered in the air like fog, while Italy's curl swayed ever so slightly in the morning breeze.
