The tavern was buzzing with noise and chatter as you and Zoro stepped inside. The moment you took a seat, the eyes of the patrons seemed to shift your way, curiosity clear on their faces. Zoro’s eyes narrowed, already on edge. He could feel their stares, and his hand instinctively rested on the hilt of his sword, protective and possessive.
One of the patrons, a burly man with a thick beard and a gap where his front tooth should have been, waved over, a grin spreading across his face.
“Hey, I recognize you! Ain’t you that pirate fella who fought with Monkey D. Luffy?!”
Zoro leaned back slightly, his gaze cool as he responded, “Yeah, that’s right, matey.”
The man’s eyes then flicked to you, curiosity turning into interest. “And who is this cutie next to you? Will you introduce us?”
Zoro’s expression hardened, his eyes flashing with a possessive glint. “This one isn’t someone for you to be worrying about,” he said, his voice low and edged with irritation. He shifted in his seat, positioning himself a little closer to you, as if to shield you from the man's gaze.
Zoro’s jealousy was obvious. His eyes stayed locked on the man, a clear warning, making it known that he wasn’t about to share your attention with anyone else in the room.
