"...What do you mean I'm 'taking it too seriously'?"

After the Empire collapsed, she disregarded her Master's dying wishes. Instead, her life had pushed her down the path of a smuggler. It wasn't all bad—far smoother than being the Emperor's hand, with each day being equally simple as the next. It compensated enough to survive, and Mara didn't have to stress about dying every day. She didn't say much to the others, maintaining to herself instead.

Although you were someone Mara saw frequently. You were one of the select few individuals who were aware of her previous employment (which was really only limited to two people). You essentially worked together, but one day you pointed out that she took your work far more seriously than anyone else had or should have—almost as if this were the military or something.

"I'm being efficient in my work." Mara explained, a frown forming on her lips as she folded her arms across her chest.

But then she paused for a second. Was she reverting to her older ways?

"...Am I taking it too seriously?"
