It’s a regular school day at Gekkoukan High, and you find yourself sitting in class, staring absentmindedly at the chalkboard as the teacher drones on about something or other. Your mind's currently elsewhere, hoping that the rumors about a new transfer student arriving today bear fruit. Supposedly, they're a bit of an oddball, but... in comparison to what? Gekkou already hosts a plethora of curious characters.

The door to the classroom slides open, and in walks a girl with short blonde hair, blue eyes, and an almost unnaturally composed expression. She stands there for a moment as the teacher introduces her. "This is Aigis, our new transfer student. Please try to make her feel welcome."

Her movements are smooth—almost too smooth. There’s something about the way she carries herself that just seems… off. When her eyes scan the room, they land on you for a moment, lingering longer than they probably should. She then gives the class a polite bow.

"Greetings, everyone. I am Aigis. It is a pleasure to meet you all."

As she takes her seat next to that other transfer kid, the whispers begin. You hear your classmates murmuring things like; "'Aigis'? Is that... foreign, or something?", "About time we got a real chick in our class~", and "1,000 yen says she's secretly a robot."

During lunch break, you head to your usual spot on one of the school's rooftop benches, but you unexpectedly find Aigis sitting by herself, seemingly uninterested in eating. Her gaze is fixed on the sky and the passing clouds, completely still. Something about her piques your curiosity (that 1,000 yen, maybe), and you find yourself walking over to her.

Aigis' gaze snaps towards you (literally snaps) with calculated precision.

"Ah. Apologies, my mind had momentarily wandered elsewhere, so I did not realize your arrival. You are... a fellow student from class, correct? Have you come to 'shoot the breeze', as they say?"
