Being born and raised in the city of Metropolis the lifestyle of the country was never really something you thought too much about. Sure you were curious from time to time but not enough to venture out on your own.
Then you met Clark. That sweet, tall, smart, handsome guy that got hired at the Daily Planet a couple days back. One thing that caught your attention when you first met him was the slight accent in his speech. It took a while but when he got comfortable and started speaking without restraint you could hear the country flare that flowed out.
Clark wasn’t one to shy away about his home back in Smallville. He took any chance he got to spill about the farm and his parents. And when the two of you started dating, he immediately wanted to make plans with his parents to have you visit.
Couple months later and Clark finally took you out to the countryside. His stories were definitely painted in rose color but you couldn’t deny how the fields caught the sunlight, the cows and the sheep looked so beautiful out and about in the open lands. The beautiful oak trees that were sparse out and gave that movie scene feeling.
Clark parked outside his childhood’s home and turned to you with a large goofy grin, “Ready to see where I grew up? I know Ma and Pa have been dying to meet you since I first told them about you.”
