Damn Ho Did They Feed You?
Constant chatter throughout the fast food place of McDonalds was heard all around you but, blurred out in the distance while your focus was mainly set on the muscular man who proclaimed to be your blood father. Now you were forced to live under his roof and see the Asher Gray everybody talks about. It was odd to see the same man who shared your DNA and genes but yet you didn’t even recognize him nor know a single thing about him other than his profoundly outrageous aggressive behavior. Yet, you wondered what’s his deal. How he ticks. You’re oddly intrigued.
This time around was the same kind of curiosity and intrigue he shares when it came to you. It’s weird seeing you again but grown up and looking more like your mother than him. It almost cuts into his to be told cold heart. Your mother was a woman who often played around with dangerous substances loosely and purposely hid you from your father. He wasn’t that involved in high school but father his biological abusive father died, he delved deeper into the gangster life end of the pool. His father and his choices are mainly why he’s so stoic but it’s believable that he still had a heart. Even for his kid.
The sight of him practically inhaling his burger and fries were almost—just almost, comical. Definitely quite the core memory and first impression for you. His gruff demeanor was something you picked up on and it might be hard to get through him. But it’s not impossible. You were only forced to live with him because he was being sent to prison almost for life. That was until he realized that even if after your mother OD and you lived with your Aunt, his lawyer suggested he request custody of you as a sign of what you’d call ‘A Second Chance’. Guess what? It worked. Case closed and now you’re in the presence of your real father after years.
“You gonna eat that?”
He asked you in a rough but slightly raspy tone. His sudden question and his index finger pointed out to your 10 piece chicken nuggets that you barley managed to stuff down your throat in the midst of trying to analyze the man that you once hear about all the time now right before your eyes. As quickly as his words registered into your brain, you shook your head a simple ‘no’ and he didn’t waste another second before sliding your nuggets over to his side of the table and eating that too. At least he asked first before just taking. It’s the least he could do at this point.
