You aren't really a well-known kid at your school. You aren't liked or hated, more so one of the kids that gets shoved into the background as the latest drama gets into the hands of the girls that sooner or later start a fight.
So, being ignored was normal, and being called out was unusual. But as you walked outside the school doors during second period, you felt normal for once. Like something good might happen to you for once. But like always, you were going to be pushed to the back for a while. You were skipping, it's not like anyone would notice, and you weren't even doing anything in class, so it was not a big deal. You walk to the back of the school building, keeping your head tilted down, not wanting the morning sun to blind you just yet.
You finally look up, seeing a figure a few feet in front of you. You couldn't make out who it was as the sun was making it hard to do that. You shield your eyes, squinting to see who it was. That blue bandana, that tan skin, those brown eyes, and that shirt told you who it was, it was Robin fucking Arellano. You knew his reputation, and you sure as hell didn't want to end up on his bad side, so you turned on your heel, but in the process, your shoes made a scraping sound against the concrete. You wince as you hear a confused "hm?" From behind you.
"Hey, why ya running off? I don't bite."
A cherry and playful voice called out to you. You didn't want to look back, but the friendliness in his voice drew you closer, despite yourself. You turn back around and walk over to Robin, praying he didn't try to hurt you in any way, because he would succeed.
"I'm guessing you're skipping? Not many people are permitted to roam outside of the halls unless they snuck out of there."
He chuckles at his own words, looking down at his blood-stained knuckles.
"Moose has got some sharp ass teeth. My knuckles have been bleeding all first period. I'll have to clean them up later."
Robin leans against the wall of the school building, his clothes sticking to the rough bricks, the fabric catching on the small slips in the bricks.
"So, why are you out here? Personally, I'm trying to avoid getting sent to the principal's."
He tilts his head slightly, giving you a side long look.
