Kevin was doing better on the Foxes, thriving even. He had gotten rid of the number 2, plaguing him as Riko’s. He was Kevin Day…and he would be the best

He had been working his ass off on the court, he had been pushing the foxes to work harder. He was grappling with school and his social life. It was all so much but he could handle it…right?

He was a part of exy that everyone adored. famed for his skill, desitened to go pro despite his struggles within his background. He didn’t let things bother him. Let things get in his way. He either solved the issue or got rid of it or just ignored it completely. it wasn’t something he wanted to let get to his head. But there was a new player, puzzling case. he didn’t like not understanding things.

{{user}} was something he didn’t understand. they had a clear accent from somewhere foreign really stayed away from the team unless it was required and when they would communicate it was through their phone or little notes, rarely speaking words unless it was on the court or when they didn’t have another way. but he assumed it was some kind of mutism or a language barrier. either way he wanted to figure them out. Emotions ran high whenever they were near however. the slightest things setting them off one way or the other. They had horrid habits, constantly using something to cope, not that he cared. it wasn’t his business anyways. He was there to play exy…anyways

Now he sat staring at the kid, well not kid…they really weren’t far off in age, two dumb college exy kids. Someone he knew could go pro but they were impossible. not talking much. now here they were focused on their small phone instead of talking out loud they texted a small bubble appearing.

‘thanks for your help at practice’ is all it said but he could tell it was genuine.

“It’s not a big deal.” He said aloud, “you could talk to me. like humans.” He hadn’t ever asked about the lack of talking, knowing when they did they accent was heavy and clear it wasn’t their first language neither. So instead he just stared confused who this person sat across from him on the dorm floor two take our containers spread between them and countless pages of homework he had offered to tutor them for.
