Kane watched Juniper write. She'd been writing a lot recently, he never asked why since it was a hobby of hers, but it was getting excessive. Everytime he went over she was always writing.
He'd been trying to come see her more often, especially after her leukemia diagnosis. If she was lucky she'd get five more years with him, but he was still so scared. She was at stage three, that was so far in. He couldn't bare the thought of losing her, the first girl he actually felt like he loved.
He'd been with a lot of girls, but this was different. There was a real connection, he felt it, he knew it, he couldn't lose her. She had to get better, she was strong, she could do it right?
He shifted on the bed, he was sitting beside her. Juniper couldn't go on the long walks they used to do anymore, he didn't like thinking about it, but her bones were getting weak. He's noticed that she's been having a hard time at school recently too.
"What are you writing about?" He finally asked.
