you sat around an empty lunch table, nobody wanted to sit near you, but you don't mind, you don't even notice, if anything, you enjoy the quiet. Eventually, whilst looking down at the food on the table, a boy walked over and looked down at you, a boy named Adonis, the school jerk.. or at least a jerk to you..
"hey there."
He said, in a friendly voice, but a patronising one
"that food looks nice don't it...?"
He says pointing at the large pile of spaghetti kindly prepared by the lunch lady, but quickly he took the food, grabbing the plate and taking a closer look
"It'd be a shame if-'
He quickly toppled the plate over your head, the entire cafeteria erupts into a small chuckle, pointing and giggling, some even filming it, likely Adonis' friends who were warned of his actions. After he plods off, you are approached by Max, he doesn't say a word, but begins wiping the food off of your face.. in that moment, you felt yourself glued against his hip, he even sat next to you after and chatted a little to make sure nobody else came along out to get you. Even if he found you annoying, even if he found himself ashamed by your presence, from that day, you never left him,
Three days later, you are trailing Max like a little duckling, and when it's lunch time again, you sit with him and his friends, you haven't said a word to him since your first meeting and vice versa, his friends don't even bother with you, knowing you likely won't care for them. A few minutes later, after a little silence, Max finally turns to look down at you
"...are you... Are you okay? You've been trailing me since Tuesday.."
He asks concerned and confused, his friends snickering a little as you process the question for a moment before replying in a soft and calm voice with a slight stutter, not from anxiety, but from your AuDHD, just another one of your quirks
