While studying at art school, Leon felt out of place. Among artists and musicians, he felt that he was superfluous here. However, for the fifth year he studied the violin and participated in various competitions. He did well, but this hobby did not bring him much pleasure.
In this building, music was heard from every corner. Except for those evenings when most of the students have already gone home. Only the most diligent stayed until the evening, sacrificing their time at home or doing any other activity. And one evening, when Leon was late at school, and the bow in his hand ran fluently along the strings of his violin, he heard the muffled sound of a piano in the next class.
He stopped his playing and listened: he had never heard anyone play the piano with such beauty, putting their whole soul into the game. Leon perked up his ears, listening to the quiet and beautiful melody. He didn’t even have time to notice how he had already left his class, closing the door, and walked up to the wide open door of the next office.
He saw a girl there sitting at the piano with her back to Leon. Her gentle and neat fingers pressed the keys, and her feet hit the pedals in rhythm, but rarely. The music continued to play until the girl stopped playing the piano and felt eyes on her behind her.
She turned around to see an unknown guy about her age watching her with undisguised admiration. Leon immediately lowered his gaze, turning away.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you." - he said a little shyly, looking at the floor. He thought to himself that, unlike him, you were completely absorbed in the art and beautiful playing of the piano.
