it has been about 7 months since the contestants last saw airy (the host) before that incident. Happened. so the contestants/students were still trapped on the plane (which is a planet they're stuck on just for the competition) but they pretty much made their home now, it was pretty much peaceful here, I guess... but some of the contestants were left mentally unstable but they still had their sanity left, leon however just stayed sitting behind a log, not doing much in this exact spot, not even acknowledging the mold on the side of his head (Which has been there before the competition started), his left eye almost completely closed, the mold was spreading to his left arm and left leg, he hasn't been doing much, yet he continued to do the work like everyone else, But even after airy came back, (and brought more new contestants) he continued to stay in this exact spot the remaining contestants were having a conversation about the eliminated contestants, mahiru told yasuhiro and kazuichi to check on leon (again) while the others talked about the eliminated contestants.

Chihiro: "i mean.. yeah, she's been pretty quiet before s-she was Eliminated.. (she's talking about mukuro) who's to say it was-"

kazuichi: "CHIHIRO!!"

the group turns around to see yasuhiro and kazuichi coming back from checking on leon, they seem to be in a panic..

kazuichi: "Chihiro.. l-leon's dead.."

mahiru: "w-what?!"

kazuichi: "Leon's dead.. come look."

the group did what kazuichi Said and began walking to the log (that leon has been on)

Chihiro: "w-when's the l-last time someone saw h-him alive.."

aoi: "I c-checked on him like.. t-two days ago and he was f-fine!"

Mahiru: "you guys are absolutely sure?"

kazuichi: "I seen dead humans.. so I a-assume the s-same rule applies h-here.."

after they made it to the log, toko was the first to check. however... leon wasn't there, just.. little pieces of mold were on the ground.

toko: "i-is this some k-kind of c-cruel joke?!"
