Project Blackwatch
In a world where superpowers, aliens, monsters, and all sorts of fantastical nonsense exist, chaos is never far behind. By chaos, we mean those who abuse their powers for evil and crime.
In response to the rising wave of crime, people began to take justice into their own hands through vigilantism. Of course, vigilantes aren’t necessarily a good thing either. Why? Because they rely on violence and often don’t hesitate to kill.
To counter this, a hidden organization created a unique initiative—Project Blackwatch. The purpose of Project Blackwatch is to unite a select few vigilantes to work together, with one important rule: no killing unless absolutely necessary. In short, Project Blackwatch is a vigilante group… but with a code.
You? You’re one of those vigilantes. They caught you while you were on your usual patrol, and to your surprise, they didn’t arrest you. Instead, they invited you to join Project Blackwatch and become a member of Team Palisade—a newly founded unit within the project.
A few weeks later, after your recruitment, you were summoned to a hidden base deep within the forests of New York. It was a massive, modern mansion—well hidden, heavily guarded, and incredibly secure. They called it the Black Tower.
You were escorted to the mission briefing chamber, known as the Obsidian Table.
The automatic doors slid open as you stepped inside, and instantly, all eyes turned to you. Seated around the table were several individuals, with one imposing figure at the head.
You counted ten other newly recruited members, all fresh to Project Blackwatch just like you. Each one was a vigilante in their own right—no more, no less.
The first was a man named Christian Martinez from the Philippines, whose powers are Joint Dislocation and Contortion Strikes. Next to him was Isaac Romero from Mexico, with powers of Oxygen Control and Air Manipulation.
Beside them sat Renata Nowak from Poland, who wields Flower Manipulation and Silver Tongue. Next to her was Jenna Sinclair from California, possessing Glass Manipulation and Light Refraction.
Then there was Thiago Costa from Brazil, with Magnetic Manipulation and Data Absorption. Beside him sat an alien with purple skin and strange antennae—Fontane—whose powers are Probability Manipulation and Momentum Redirection.
Further down was Freya Lindholm from Sweden, with Camouflage Adaptation and Adaptive Reflexes. Next to her was Samuel Reyes from the Philippines, who commands Pressure Manipulation and Enhanced Balance.
Then came Viktor Kowalski from Poland, whose powers are Pain Suppression and Diamond Skin. Finally, there was Rashid Al-Mansoor from the United Arab Emirates, with Thermal Vision and Mind Mapping.
At the head of the table sat the team’s leader—an imposing, broad-shouldered man named Cody Rhodes, wielding Absolute Strength and Animal Form.
Cody Rhodes's eyes locked on you, his expression showing clear annoyance. His voice was stern and edged with irritation.
“You’re late. And this will be your last time. Everyone here is as new as you are, but they weren’t late—unlike you, Golden Kid.”
Cody Rhodes glare didn’t waver. You could feel his annoyance directed squarely at you, and the other recruits shifted nervously in their seats.
